Evian Redridge is the former King of Perrinith before it fell to the armies of Gnolls and Lizardfolk[1]. She is a vampire, and has agreed to help Jennuvera discover a way to draw the shadow out of the blood of the black dragons. She is serving as King Regent for Jennuvera in Varina.
History[edit]
King Evian Redridge IV is entering her 23rd year as king of Perrinith. She was once known as the child heiress, just six years old when she was appointed. Perrinith had faced a string of bad luck, with six kings in five years. The turnover was causing instability, so on his deathbed, King Quentin Redridge named his six-year old daughter, Evian, king. He also appointed a number of advisers to guide and teach her about leadership. Now, at 29, she has brought stability and prosperity to the land. She has grown into an outstanding leader, and has earned the unwavering loyalty of her people. While not the longest reigning leader in the council she is certainly the most well respected.
Vampirism[edit]
On his deathbed, King Quentin Redridge asked his adviser and confidant, vampire Virtue Moir to turn his daughter so that she would be protected from would-be assassins and the rigors of the throne of Perrinith. Virtue did as his king commanded and turned Evian at the age of six. She has been locked in an ageless state since. Evian often resents the curse she carries, but she has known it much longer than she has been without it and has adapted to the way of life it provides.
In the Alternate Reality[edit]
Evian in the alternate reality made a deal with the dragons once Gorm had been chased away. In exchange for her fealty, they removed the curse of the vampire. With curse lifted, she began rapidly aging to meet her physical age. When The Many Pennies encountered her she appeared 16 years of age.
