Gillik’s father was once a Peackeeper of some renown. After he sentenced his eldest son to death and carried out the sentence, he slipped into a depression and a sickness. He resurfaced at an abandoned Cathedral in Emebrfall. He had murdered a high ranking peacekeeper and cut down many others. Gillik spoke with him and he said that he realized his son had been correct and did not deserve to die, but it was clear some sort of corruption had taken hold. Later he was seen in a vision answering to Dunglaris.
