Campaign 2 Episode 057 Transcript

Anthony 0:00
Greetings adventurers and welcome to the Adventure Incorporated Podcast. I am your Dungeon Master, my name is Anthony Reed. This is episode 57, it is the first episode of the Shadow of Death story arc and I can’t wait. We’re getting into it. It’s happening. If you are a patron at patreon.com/adventureinc thank you. Thank you for supporting the show with your money. Thank you for telling us that this is an important part enough of your life. An important enough part of your life- there we go. Important part enough a part of a part your part apart life apart. That a part you’re willing to a’part with some of your money. There we go. I saved it, and that you are willing to support the show. And we really, really, really appreciate it. We think that you are the greatest if you’re not a patron, you can be a patron and then we’ll think you’re the greatest. Let’s get started.

Nobles and farmers, knights and scoundrels, gather round, gather round to hear a tale of excitement and mystery. Brave adventurers, facing grave dangers.

Belroth, the Ranger.

Belroth 1:16
She’s a Grimalkin. That’s, uh, but that’s understood. No pets allowed, even though she’s not a pet. I will wait outside. Everyone, if anyone needs anything, I am outside.

Anthony 1:26
Skarpin, the Cleric.

Belroth 1:29
Should I just try and snipe them from over here?

Skarpin 1:31
Yeah, okay. I did say there was good as dead. I would hate for, you know, to break my word on our first contract with Adventure Incorporated.

Anthony 1:39
Ellori, the Bard.

Ellori 1:41
We would want you to leave this warehouse.

Anthony 1:46
He points behind it. Church!

Ellori 1:48
Oh, sorry. We want you to leave this church.

Anthony 1:53
Deeran, the Wizard.

He say, you no worship Shattered Fang.

Deeran 1:57
Yeah, man he’s like, super wrong. We love Broken Tooth- uh, Shattered Fang, man.

Anthony 2:03
Prepare yourselves for these are the tales of Adventure Incorporated.

Let’s get started. The four of you have are still in the tower at Adventure Incorporated. And you’ve just finished your conversation. Where what are you doing now? What’s up?

Deeran 2:23
Deeran turns back to to beat all I can think is beef beefeater, and I know that’s not their name.

Belroth 2:33
A little weird.

Deeran 2:37
Wiseheart? Beard. Belheart. Beardheart. Something heart.

Skarpin 2:41
Beardimedes.

Deeran 2:47
Tenderheart.

Belroth 2:48
Beard.

Anthony 2:50
He’s still sleeping by the way.

Deeran 2:52
But what’s his name?

Belroth 2:53
Beardhot. His name is Beardhot.

Anthony 2:56
Now all I can think is Beefeater.

Deeran 3:00
Is that why he?

Anthony 3:01
Willowheart. It’s Willowheart.

Deeran 3:02
Willowheart.

Belroth 3:02
Willowheart.

Deeran 3:04
Pillowbear.

Skarpin 3:05
Oh, yeah, it is.

Deeran 3:09
All right. Yes.

Belroth 3:10
Beefheart.

Anthony 3:10
What do you mean no?

Skarpin 3:14
Listen DM.

Deeran 3:15
Yeah, Deeran turns back to Beefheart’s fuckin secretary.

Skarpin 3:18
I’m the DM now.

Anthony 3:20
Look at me. Look at me.

Skarpin 3:22
Look at me.

Deeran 3:23
Hey, man, I’m I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name earlier. Or I did and you know that room. What? What’s your name?

Anthony 3:34
This is to the secretary?

Deeran 3:35
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Anthony 3:39
They look up at you, What? They also clearly have a little bit of time dilation happening. And and then. Then they say Oh, I’m Talus.

Deeran 3:53
Hey, Talus hey, um, we’ve never stayed on compound before. Do we have like, rooms or anything?

Anthony 4:02
I mean, if you are official adventurers.

Deeran 4:06
Yeah.

Anthony 4:06
Which I presume that you are, you can hit down and check out a barracks for the night.

Deeran 4:13
All right, cool. Um,

Anthony 4:15
Yeah, there’s a whole bunch of basically dormitories that you can check out you know, while you’re here.

Deeran 4:22
All right. Thanks so much. At least, like, we don’t have to pay for an inn and he turns back to the group.

Anthony 4:30
Yeah, it’s awesome.

Deeran 4:35
Like I don’t know about you, y’all but like it might be better than paying for an inn and like I definitely feel a little more secure on compound than like, elsewhere with this and Deeran gestures toward the like, chest.

Belroth 4:58
Yeah, I I believe that’s I didn’t know that was a service we had. So I think we should do that.

Deeran 5:06
Yeah man, me neither.

Belroth 5:08
And I think it would be worthwhile to regroup to say, what our next move is and also maybe even important more importantly, if we were to say go talk to Carapath, what do and do not we want to share.

Deeran 5:26
Yeah, I think that’s a good call. What about you Skarpin? Ellori?

Ellori 5:31
Yeah, I think that’s fine. I think, you know, we talked a lot just just before about building relationships, so we might as well follow through on our word there.

Deeran 5:43
Yeah, it feels pretty foreshadowy. You know, like, I feel like if I were writing a story like this, like I probably wouldn’t do it this way. You know what I mean? Like, it just feels so heavy handed. But like, who knows?

Belroth 6:00
I don’t think so. For the record, I don’t think so.

Deeran 6:05
Yeah, I didn’t think you would.

Belroth 6:06
I like a little bit of guidance when it comes to stories. I don’t want to choose my own adventure. I want the new adventure to unfold naturally.

Skarpin 6:17
I think we we drunkenly crashed here once Deeran.

Deeran 6:25
Well, yeah, but that was just like in Elder Riggs house. Right. Like, didn’t we just like.

Skarpin 6:29
No, we ended up in the tower. I’m trying to remember, but I.

Deeran 6:33
That was a different tower and then we died.

Skarpin 6:36
Oh, no, wait.

Belroth 6:38
Everyone. I think we are still under the effects of that room. Just kind of start walking towards the barracks.

Deeran 6:45
Yeah, we should probably get some fresh air.

Anthony 6:51
I do believe Ellori’s the only one who failed her CON save.

Ellori 6:56
Yeah, Ellori is.

Anthony 6:56
Everyone’s effected, but not like Elloril.

Ellori 6:58
Yeah, Ellori is singing songs in her mind. She is.

Deeran 7:08
Magic just is happening around her.

Ellori 7:11
Yeah, she cast ~Seeings hard when the lights are low. Stars above us start to glow.~ And dancing lights are just like literally just all over the place. It’s like a disco ball following her as she walks to the barracks

Belroth 7:27
Whoa.

Anthony 7:29
They’re all like like barely there like they’re wavering.

Deeran 7:31
Yeah.

Anthony 7:32
She’s just like she’s hitting the spell but just kinda.

Belroth 7:36
I assume they would have been like dancing lava lamps. Very fascinating.

Deeran 7:42
Flowers, and like.

Anthony 7:45
Okay, so you make your way to the barracks which can be as was stated there are dormitories that can be rented out. They tend to stick adventurers in two to a dormitory. So you guys get adjoining rooms. Yeah, you got a place to rest. Are you going to rest before you do this is that your plan?

Ellori 8:14
Yeah.

Anthony 8:14
Like I mean, I guess the last time you rested just talked to since then, but.

Deeran 8:19
Right.

Belroth 8:21
I mean, we got hit with some pretty big news and then had a pretty big conversation and honestly our you know, smoked a little bit we’re pretty we’re tuckered out.

Deeran 8:30
Yeah, Deeran’s emotionally exhausted, you know.

Anthony 8:34
So at least after a good nap. You guys come back together.

Belroth 8:39
Okay, so everyone ah, what is the next move? I feel like I might not be alone in feeling as though we should talk to Carapath. It sounds like everyone else is sort of on the same page.

Ellori 8:55
Yeah.

Skarpin 8:55
I’m on board with that.

Ellori 8:56
I think that’s a great idea.

Deeran 8:58
Yeah, at the very least.

Belroth 9:00
I think there are some things. Oh, go ahead Deeran.

Deeran 9:03
I was just gonna say at the very least, like we can get a read on how safe this is gonna be. And Deeran points behind him at Tenser’s Floating Disk which is carrying the crate of jewels.

Belroth 9:14
How long does that last?

Deeran 9:15
Oh, I just have to keep casting it. It kind of sucks to like have to do it so much. But also like, what else are we going to do?

Ellori 9:24
What if we buried all the jewels in the floorboards of our rooms?

Deeran 9:29
Well, and we’d have to like hope to get the same barracks every time or like.

Ellori 9:33
Well I’ll just like for right now while we’re here and we go to talk to Carapath and you know, so we’re not like dragging him with us all the time.

Deeran 9:44
Do you think this looks weird? Deeran points behind him.

Ellori 9:46
Yes.

Deeran 9:47
To like the circle just like floating around carrying?

Ellori 9:51
Yes, yes, I do.

Deeran 9:54
I just, you know, I wasn’t gonna leave it.

Ellori 9:57
No, of course not. But if we hide it.

Skarpin 10:02
Yeah, okay.

Belroth 10:03
Yeah.

Ellori 10:04
Maybe Deeran you know some spell that like you could protect it or something.

Deeran 10:08
I don’t.

Belroth 10:08
An illusion or something?

Deeran 10:10
No, I don’t really mess with illusions you know, it’s not like real magic you know? It’s like a it’s a trick. You know? It’s like fake.

Belroth 10:19
Belroth is fine with that sentence.

Anthony 10:22
I love that canonically.

Belroth 10:23
Rob is not.

Anthony 10:25
Canonically wizards all have some magic opinions.

Belroth 10:31
That’s very funny. Well, I think we should figure that out but like I wonder what are we going to tell Carapath because we are technically mandated to be the ones in charge of the investigations of the demons if we remember. What I feel as though we should tell him a lot of things about the demons especially our success. I think our most recent exploit in Shanarel might not be something he needs to know. Because I don’t fully know if we grasp what Ellori’s new powers can do quite yet.

Ellori 11:21
I also don’t know what my new powers can do quite yet so I think I’m fine waiting to see that.

Skarpin 11:34
Okay, so we won’t mention the song.

Belroth 11:38
Maybe not the Court of Deggars that feels like a thing that we shouldn’t bring up.

Ellori 11:43
You mean we shouldn’t tell him that the King of Beggars is, the King of Thieves is calling him a murderer.

Deeran 11:50
Yeah, I feel like that would be a good thing to like weigh out first you know like let’s get a read on how we feel about Carapath before tipping that hand you know.

Belroth 12:01
I fully agree.

Deeran 12:03
And will like we might be able to keep it in our back pocket to like pull it out in case we need like a read on how he like reacts to stuff you know what I mean?

Ellori 12:15
Oh, and then maybe we can you know put our lying pants on and and see if he’s he’s telling the truth about Oh no, I’m not a murderer.

Skarpin 12:25
Just yell it out suddenly.

Ellori 12:28
Yeah, that’s a good you know, my grandma always says you can tell if a person’s lying about something if you surprise them with it.

Deeran 12:34
Right? Yeah.

Skarpin 12:37
Yeah.

Belroth 12:37
Wow, yeah.

Anthony 12:38
I think that Ellori has special lying pants and they are flaming enchanted.

Ellori 12:42
Yup.

Anthony 12:42
And that those are her.

Ellori 12:45
When someone tells a lie It’s like if that would be a really fun zone of truth. Like effect or whatever you wear your pants and then if the pants start to catch the fire then you know they’re lying.

Deeran 12:57
Truth pants.

Ellori 12:58
Yeah.

Belroth 12:59
That is honestly awesome.

Skarpin 13:03
D&D dad jokes edition.

Deeran 13:04
D&Dad Jokes.

Anthony 13:08
Welcome to the show, Mike.

Deeran 13:15
All right. So like, if, if we’re going to, so we’re not going to tell them about the Court of Thieves? I mean, the Court of Beggars or the King of Thieves. We’re not going to tell him that we went to the Tabernacle of Shanarel. Are we going to tell him about walking the Plane of Fire?

Skarpin 13:39
EveryoneYeah, that seems cool.

Ellori 13:43
Yeah, it does make us sound really cool.

Belroth 13:46
But like, why did we do it?

Deeran 13:48
And where did we end up?

Ellori 13:50
Home.

Deeran 13:54
All right.

Ellori 13:56
I mean, I don’t think it’s I don’t necessarily think it’s bad to, you know, to tell him about the Tabernacle.

Deeran 14:08
Yeah, me neither.

Ellori 14:09
I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I just don’t really want to go into detail about this new power that I have. Because I don’t really know what today is like, I don’t mind mentioning that that it happened.

Belroth 14:19
Okay.

Ellori 14:20
But I just I.

Deeran 14:21
Yeah, I don’t know what like what we can tell him about it. Right. Other than that it happened.

Ellori 14:25
Yeah that’s all I’m really saying is that I don’t know if my new powers are. yet. So I don’t really want to be put on the spot to explain them.

Belroth 14:33
We found that we can just say that we found more information on creation and the Titans I assume we’re going to tell him about the Titans and all that.

Deeran 14:44
It sounds necessary, yeah.

Skarpin 14:46
Yeah.

Belroth 14:47
Then that’s what we did. And it’s true. It’s not a lie. If we were to have enchanted pants that would light on fire, we would not have our enchanted pants light on fire.

Deeran 14:58
Yeah, we would be able to walk out of there without burnt legs just like the saying goes.

Belroth 15:03
Our pants might be warm because we are technically not lying by omitting the truth. It would be warm pants.

Skarpin 15:10
Is that how they work?

Belroth 15:11
I don’t know. But I assume yes.

Ellori 15:15
Sounds legit.

Skarpin 15:16
I don’t wear pants.

Belroth 15:19
That’s true.

Ellori 15:20
You heard it here first folks, Skarpin does not wear pants.

Anthony 15:24
If anyone was wondering.

Ellori 15:25
If anyone had bets on it.

Deeran 15:27
Hey, that means.

Everyone change your fan art?

His one gross leg.

Ellori 15:31
It means his ding-dong is hanging out.

Deeran 15:32
No, it doesn’t. Turtles don’t.

Ellori 15:33
Do turtles have ding-dongs?

Deeran 15:34
No, they have a cloaca.

Ellori 15:36
So what does that mean? Like is it retracted?

Skarpin 15:37
Think I can be a part of this conversation?

Deeran 15:45
Right, isn’t that kind of what it is?

Belroth 15:47
Don’t Google this, anyone?

Deeran 15:49
I’m Googling it right now.

Belroth 15:50
I said don’t.

Ellori 15:51
Turtle dicks.

Belroth 15:52
I said don’t.

Skarpin 15:53
I wish you wouldn’t. Let’s move on with the story.

Belroth 15:58
What does Skarpin’s parts…

Skarpin 16:03
It’s just the murder and the song.

Deeran 16:04
Don’t fucking google it. Oh my god. Do not Google it.

Belroth 16:07
I told you I said don’t do it.

Deeran 16:10
No I won’t.

Belroth 16:10
I said don’t touch the hot flame and you were like I’m going to touch the hot flame you can’t tell me what to do. Oh, God.

Ellori 16:15
What did you Google? Cloaca?

Deeran 16:17
Turtle cloaca.

Ellori 16:17
Turtle cloaca.

Belroth 16:19
Birds also have one.

Skarpin 16:20
Hey, yours ain’t that good lookin either there.

Belroth 16:28
Weird that you know that.

Ellori 16:32
Is that it? Yeah, I guess that’s it.

Belroth 16:34
Steph is less grossed out than Mike, which is fascinating.

Ellori 16:38
Kind of looks like a butthole. Like a it’s like a butthole and then it’s a.

Deeran 16:45
And then it opens like a flower.

Ellori 16:46
And then it’s a ding-dong. It’s like shoots out like a fuckin’ snake tongue.

Belroth 16:51
Swiss army butthole. It’s everything you need.

Ellori 16:54
I don’t know why you thought this was so gross. It’s just a turtle ding-dong, Mike.

Deeran 16:58
The top like second picture is of?

Ellori 17:01
This?

Deeran 17:02
No, all the way at the top is of a turtle cloaca prolapse.

Is this going in the episode? I just need to know.

Skarpin 17:11
Everything goes in the episode.

Deeran 17:13
Anthony says it’s gonna cut it and then he doesn’t.

Belroth 17:15
Yeah.

Anthony 17:17
I mean, we’ll see on this one. This one is pretty borderline.

Ellori 17:21
Hey, if the KY jelly does not help.

Deeran 17:24
This is the part that I would.

Ellori 17:25
Follow these simple steps.

Belroth 17:30
Boy.

Skarpin 17:30
I feel like there should be directions about that.

Ellori 17:33
Wash your hands.

Skarpin 17:34
Turtle cloaca. Like.

Deeran 17:38
All right.

Belroth 17:39
I just wanted to be on the same page when we go into a room with Carapath because our last meeting made him seem pretty hard to deal with and talk to. And if we are. If we think he might be someone trying to get a hand up on the situation. I want to just all be on the same page so that we don’t get surprised too much.

Ellori 18:06
No, I think that’s good. I think that if we go in there and we’re our charming normal selves, then how could he possibly have anything negative to say to us or about us ever?

Deeran 18:15
And like, last time we met him like we came in, like in public and it was like a big thing. Like what if we scheduled a like a meeting like we just had with Willowheart, you know, like, in his office instead of like, making a big thing of it or whatever?

Belroth 18:37
Yes, I think that’s a good idea. Okay.

Deeran 18:43
Cool. So sandwiches and then meeting,

Belroth 18:45
Sandwiches. Meeting. Should we schedule the meeting, then get sandwiches and then have the meeting?

Deeran 18:48
Ugh. Fine.

Belroth 18:48
You get sandwiches.

Skarpin 18:49
We can just.

Belroth 18:56
I can schedule the meeting.

Skarpin 18:59
Or we can just maybe head down to his office?

Belroth 19:03
Sandwiches then meeting. I feel like this is less important than anything.

Deeran 19:09
Fine, then we’ll do the meeting or whatever. But like if my stomach.

Belroth 19:12
No, I said lets get sandwiches, now I’m hungry.

Deeran 19:15
If my tummy growls in the middle of the meeting, it’s on you, man.

Ellori 19:19
What if Skarpin and I go up ahead, you get sandwiches on the way, and then we can schedule the meeting. If it is right away we can say there’ll be here in five minutes after they’ve eaten their sandwiches.

Skarpin 19:30
I’m kind of hungry too.

Belroth 19:38
All right. Skarpin and Deeran get sandwiches, Ellori and I go schedule the meeting?

Deeran 19:44
All right.

Ellori 19:44
Okay.

Skarpin 19:45
All right. Do y’all want any, or?

Belroth 19:48
I would love a turkey club. Thank you.

Skarpin 19:52
Ellori?

Ellori 19:52
No, no, thank you.

Skarpin 19:54
Do you want any blood?

Ellori 19:55
No, I’m good for right now. I appreciate it. I went out to while everyone else was taking a nap.

Skarpin 20:00
Oh.

Deeran 20:04
Alright, then.

Ellori 20:09
Okay.

Deeran 20:10
All right.

Ellori 20:11
We go to Carapath’s office.

Anthony 20:12
So you split up and you head out to do your various tasks.

Skarpin 20:17
Roll initiative.

Anthony 20:21
Skarpin, are you going to end up making it back to the office with that sandwich, you think?

Skarpin 20:28
Skarpin is going to go hunt for sandwiches?

Deeran 20:32
Oh.

Anthony 20:33
Yeah, I mean, you guys know where the sandwiches is. There’s a mess hall so they’re pretty easy to track down. I’m wondering if that sandwich is going to survive from the mess hall to Carapath’s door.

Skarpin 20:45
I think there’ll be unexpected events along the way is what I predict.

Anthony 20:50
Okay,

Deeran 20:51
For the sandwich or for us?

Skarpin 20:56
For the sandwich, itself.

Anthony 21:00
Okay.

Deeran 21:03
Deeran purposely orders two sandwiches because Deeran knows his is not going to survive the walk. Oh, and one for Belroth. He ordered a Turkey Club.

Anthony 21:13
I figured Skarpin had Belroth’s and that’s where that one was gonna go.

Deeran 21:16
I’m sure also.

Skarpin 21:18
Deeran saw and so he ordered three.

Anthony 21:20
Yeah.

Belroth 21:20
Two for me.

Anthony 21:24
Okay, as you for Ellori and Belroth. You make your way toward Carapath’s office in the masters like there’s a floor in the tower that has the offices for the Masters. Which includes you walk passed Willowheart’s door and toward Carapath’s door. Willowheart’s door is open, the windows are wide open, they’re airing the room out, he’s nowhere to be found. And as you move passed towards Carapath’s door, there is a matronly looking woman sitting at the desk. She’s an older human, and she doesn’t she looks very serious as you approach. May I help you?

Ellori 22:12
Hi!

Belroth 22:13
Hi.

Ellori 22:15
My name is Ellori, this is Belroth.

Belroth 22:17
Hello.

Ellori 22:17
What’s your name?

Anthony 22:20
My name is Vella. Do you have something I can help you with?

Ellori 22:23
Yes, actually, we’d like to schedule an appointment with Elder Carapath.

Anthony 22:29
Elder Carapath is very busy he’s booked up for the next month and a half I can schedule something for you then

Belroth 22:36
If you could actually it’s a little bit more important than that we were scheduled or not scheduled we were assigned by Carapath about the demon matter and we have lots of updates that we would like to give him I believe they are time sensitive and he would need them sooner rather later.

Anthony 22:53
This is likely something critical life and death maybe the fate of the entire kingdom or Empire rides upon it.

Ellori 23:01
Yes, yes, exactly.

Anthony 23:03
Yes, yes. Yes. Get in line. Everyone who comes to Carapath’s door has the same problem you do. Okay. You are not special. You are not unique. And when we are available, you will have the meeting you desire.

Belroth 23:18
Okay. That sounds great. I mean, I understand I I know how tough office work can be. I really do. I understand and I don’t want to I don’t want to seem inconsiderate. And as though we’re taking advantage of your time I really, I really appreciate it.

Anthony 23:37
Roll a persuasion check.

Belroth 23:43
Belroth does not have that skill trained. However, he rolled an eighteen plus zero.

Anthony 23:54
She says, of course just give me your names and I will schedule the appointment for the two of you.

Belroth 24:03
Sorry for the four of us. The group’s name is TESSA, the Expedition Society for Secrets and Adventure. We were in a meeting, again, obviously in regards to the demon stuff.

Anthony 24:15
Please wait. She stands up and turns away from the desk and heads back into the door behind her.

Belroth 24:20
Okay.

Ellori 24:23
That went well.

Deeran 24:25
Skarpin, the thing I like best about like when we go out for eats is like I never feel like you’re judging me for like the things that I order. You know what I mean?

Skarpin 24:35
No, no.

Deeran 24:35
Deeran has finished his first sandwich and is like crumpling up the paper and putting it in his pocket as he pulls the second sandwich out to replace in his hand the second one and so he starts eating that one.

Skarpin 24:50
This whole moderation thing a lot of people try and do which I just don’t get it. You got the right idea mean.

Deeran 24:56
The thing don’t like the thing people don’t like understand about me right is like, I’ve just got a really fast metabolism, you know what I mean? Like, I don’t know if it’s like the magic thing or like it’s because I’m just like, kind of taller or whatever. But like, there’s just something about the way that my body like consumes food, you know? Like, I always see you like nommin on something to man like,

Skarpin 25:18
Yeah, I can eat a whole horse and still want a second. So I get I get the whole second sandwich thing.

Deeran 25:24
Yeah, I really wish you hadn’t reminded me of the horse thing like that was gruesome.

Skarpin 25:29
It was.

Deeran 25:32
Yeah, and then they arrive.

Anthony 25:33
You guys arrive outside the office with Belroth and an Ellori still standing there.

Deeran 25:43
Oh, hey, guys.

Ellori 25:46
We told her who we were. And after saying that it would be a month and a half wait, she turned right around and went into the office so we’re just waiting for her to come out and probably say that we’re going in right now.

Skarpin 25:57
Oh, great.

Belroth 25:58
We’re hoping.

Deeran 25:58
Nice.

Anthony 26:00
Vella comes out of the office, she says Oh, good. All four of you are here. You may go in now.

Ellori 26:05
Thank you so much, Vella.

Belroth 26:06
Thank you Bella. I really appreciate this. This means a lot.

Skarpin 26:09
Vella is it?

Anthony 26:11
She says nothing she just goes back to like she you can like she’s scratching stuff out of the schedule. She’s like trying to move things all around. Like this has been a big disruption

Deeran 26:22
Oh, sorry. Sorry as the as the crate like squeezes through the doorway like Sorry, I’m really.

Anthony 26:33
Slides her desk over.

Deeran 26:34
Yeah, I’m pushing chairs out of the way like angling the disk a little bit to like make sure it fits through the next doorway. Oh, Belroth, here man. And he hands the turkey club.

Who took a bite of this?

Skarpin?

Skarpin 26:54
What what shape does it look like? Okay, yeah.

Deeran 26:58
Yeah, is it pointy in the front?

Belroth 26:59
It’s like pointy shaped.

Anthony 27:04
Deeran has been working on his Skarpin bite.

Belroth 27:08
He’s trying to bite it angularly.

Skarpin 27:12
Pulling a Gollum.

Anthony 27:18
Carapath’s office is against a rounded edge of the tower. Windows all along the outside edge here open up onto the campus below.

Deeran 27:30
He’s got a corner office with a view?

Belroth 27:34
He does.

Anthony 27:35
Big time.

A massive desk set up with just like like piles of tomes and spells books and paperwork and the space on the walls that are not covered by the windows, the stuff on the more on the interior are just shelves and shelves of books. It’s much neater than Willowheart’s office. Much better kept will say and there are four chairs laid out in front of his desk as he’s sitting in a overly large chair with like the back of the chair raises up behind him. As he continues to work.

Belroth 28:15
Belroth opens up the treasure chest and puts his little clamshell of turkey in and closes it like kind of like just real quick because he sees that he’s not looking at the treasure chest so he’s like I can just store this here. I hope I don’t forget that for safety.

Anthony 28:34
Yes, TESSA you have arrived finally to give you a report I presume you’ve made any progress at all on this demon issue.

Belroth 28:42
Aye, yes we have.

Skarpin 28:44
I have.

Belroth 28:47
Aye as in yes, not I have sorry. And Belroth like grabs a seat.

Skarpin 28:55
Hi boss it’s good to see you again.

Ellori 28:59
Ellori curtsies.

Anthony 29:00
Charmed.

Deeran 29:03
Deeran just like puts his head down.

Ellori 29:04
So anyway we killed demon.

Skarpin 29:08
Big demon.

Anthony 29:08
Okay, okay.

Belroth 29:09
Jump right in.

Anthony 29:10
Great you killed a demon. Wonderful. In all this time you’ve killed a demon that’s what you’re trying to tell me.

Belroth 29:15
No, no, no, no. We killed like a demon lord, like a big one.

Ellori 29:21
I almost said like a demon daddy. But Ellori never would say that so I just felt the need to contribute it outside.

Skarpin 29:31
Good one, Steph.

Belroth 29:32
Demon daddy.

Deeran 29:35
Yeah, like, so it was it was pretty cool. Oh Skarpin like, I feel like you deserve the honor of telling this one man like

Belroth 29:45
Yes, definitely.

Skarpin 29:46
Yeah, thank you. Thank you. So technically, yes, it yes, it’s only been one demon but it’s one of the greater demons one of the one of the seven. Old Scratch. We told you all about that one. So, yeah, we went into the Dream World fought big battle came into the real world fought big battle. And then and then we killed it. So we know one out of seven done.

Anthony 30:15
So what you’re telling me is you dreamt, you killed a big demon and that’s what you’ve come to report.

Belroth 30:20
Oh, no, not not quite. What I believe Skarpin is trying to say is that like, Eviara was being plagued by Old Scratch, right Skarpin?

Skarpin 30:33
Yeah, oh, it was real bad there.

Belroth 30:35
Like, in people’s dreams, they were being infected by this demon. And Skarpin, master of a Dream Magic went in there, and literally pulled this demon from the Dream so we can make him real, and then we kill them and banish them back to the Pit.

Skarpin 30:51
Back down to the Pit, we saw the Pit and Belroth shot an arrow warning shot, and they probably killed a second demon.

Belroth 30:58
Mmhmm.

Anthony 31:03
Okay, so you’ve killed one of these greater demons?

Belroth 31:07
Mmhmm.

Skarpin 31:09
Yeah.

Anthony 31:11
Okay. Okay. I have had reports from Eviara that there were issues, and that those issues have been resolved. I wasn’t sure how reliable my reports were, but I am willing to accept that you had a role to play in this, that you solved this problem. Where does that put us now?

Deeran 31:36
Well, like you know, one one seventh of the way kinda Right. Like, hey, man. Are you like super stressed out?

Anthony 31:50
Am I super stressed out?

Deeran 31:51
yeah like, so like, what I mean is like, I feel like, we’re coming here to bring you good news and like, share what’s going on and then, like, work together with you, you know, and it feels like you’re mad at us for for doing what we what you told us to do. And so like, I’m just trying to get down to like, you know, like, we’re, we’re coworkers or whatever. Like, you’re, you’re our boss. So like, you know, like, it’d be cool if we were talking like we were on the same team, you know.

Anthony 32:24
Give me a persuasion check.

Deeran 32:25
All right. I don’t know if I have that either.

Cool. I have a plus two with that. Fuck, I rolled the natural one.

Ellori 32:38
Great.

Belroth 32:38
Three!

Skarpin 32:39
So, three.

Deeran 32:40
Yeah, not great.

Anthony 32:42
He rolled a natural twenty. So.

Belroth 32:44
Yeah, that’s about as far as far as it can get.

Anthony 32:46
Okay, he says, Am I stressed? Let’s see. The Emperor has commissioned ninety percent of our forces to deal with the never ending fish war that’s happening. I have more contracts coming in a day than I have teams to cover them. And you are off gallivanting around spending incredible amounts of resources to try and tear down this demon problem I’ve barely had an opportunity to have any insight into because Wesley Tallow thinks it’s a good idea and I can’t seem to shake him even when Riggs dies. So yes, I’m a little bit stressed. Okay. Yes, I have a few problems with the way things have been running. And I sure would like to see some results.

Ellori 33:31
Fast enough to do a murder?

Deeran 33:33
What?

Belroth 33:33
Belorth looks at Ellori just aghast.

Deeran 33:41
It worked that shock the shit out of me. That caught me off guard that surprised me.

Ellori 33:46
That’s how Ellori will know if you’re lying or not.

Anthony 33:49
It also definitely catches Elder Carapath. He looks at you like to like, his eyes are wide. And he’s like, What?

Skarpin 34:04
Insight, insight, insight?

Deeran 34:05
Yeah, what kind of what kind of wide eyes?

Ellori 34:07
Yeah, what kind of insight?

Anthony 34:10
Give me an insight check.

Skarpin 34:13
Sixteen.

Ellori 34:13
Seventeen.

Anthony 34:16
He looks genuinely confused about.

Ellori 34:18
Oh, plus five. Twenty-two.

Anthony 34:20
Okay, even better. He looks like legitimately genuinely confused about what you’re talking about.

Ellori 34:25
Sorry. You know, sometimes the villains are coming from inside the house, you know, so you got to you got to make sure that your catchin’. With Elder Riggs dyin’, you know?

Anthony 34:38
You think I murdered Elder Riggs?

Ellori 34:40
Maybe? People.

Anthony 34:40
No, I didn’t murder Elder Riggs.

Ellori 34:42
People are out there saying that you did murder Elder Hawktalon.

Anthony 34:49
Murder Elder. Did you just come in here to accuse me of murdering two elders?

Ellori 34:53
No, you just accused us of wasting your resources.

Anthony 34:55
Yeah, this is what I needed. I needed more of this.

Ellori 34:57
When we’ve been out killing massive demons.

Anthony 34:59
One of these is provable, one of these is provable!

Belroth 35:00
Okay. All right. All right. All right.

Ellori 35:02
How is it provable that you didn’t kill an elder, but it’s not provable that we killed the demon.

Belroth 35:07
All right.

Ellori 35:07
They’re exactly the same level of provable. Ellori is just still high.

Deeran 35:12
Ellori? I don’t know if that’s true. Actually, I feel like ours is a lot more provable because he got those reports from Eviara that says.

Yeah, there you go.

Things changed at the same time.

Anthony 35:21
I’m willing to accept that you have killed the demon. That’s fine.

Deeran 35:25
Thank you.

Anthony 35:26
I was saying it’s provable that you’re spending a lot of resources to kill one demon. That’s what I’m saying.

Ellori 35:31
Now we’re gonna go out and kill the other six.

Belroth 35:34
Yes, I think what we have, what we have gathered from these sorts of conversations. Belroth, a little bit better on weed he’s done this before. What we’ve gathered from these conversations is that these are resource intensive things. And luckily, we are a small team able to do it, as opposed to the huge teams that are being contracted out. I think one thing that we have found it found, and are probably going to move on is that the next demon might demon that we take down might come in a pair, the Strangers seem to be working towards each other, or like with each other. It’s not quite clear.

Deeran 36:19
They’re not with each other yet. Yeah. So like, they’re not they’re trying to find each other.

Belroth 36:24
Yes.

Deeran 36:25
And once they get together. Whether that’s a biblical, or like, you know, platonic is unclear yet.

Belroth 36:36
It’s very weird.

Deeran 36:37
But like, once they get together, they will be a lot stronger. And so like, it’s really important that we stop them before that happens.

Belroth 36:46
If you’ve been getting reports of people, almost having their bodies taken over or acting strange in ways that may be some clues towards where the two Strangers may be.

Deeran 37:00
Oh, yeah. Could like, do you have a insight like that? You said, You got reports out of Eviara, right? Like, so. I just assumed that like, that means that you get kind of reports from all over the place, like, could we track like, where these things are happening? You know, and like see movement patterns that like match up with like, where, you know, these events are happening as they kind of like get closer to each other, whatever.

Anthony 37:30
Possible. I have not been looking for that kind of information directly. But if we ask our contacts for that kind of stuff for the specifically people being reporting that they have last time or taken actions they did not intend to take, then perhaps we could find some trace of that, if that is truly a viable option here.

Deeran 37:53
Yeah, I feel like

Anthony 37:54
Again, that’s going to require more effort and more resource.

Deeran 37:58
Yeah, I feel like reporting analytics though on like demon behaviors is going to be really valuable in the future. You know what I mean? If we can get some like big data behind like, what they’re doing like we’ll understand a lot more about them and then we’ll be able to more effectively target them.

Anthony 38:13
I will talk to the wizard downstairs, Hadoop. He’s connected to four or five other wizards who can burn through that kind of information quickly.

Belroth 38:21
I don’t get these jokes but I’m still in. Like, I’m really happy they’re happening.

Ellori 38:26
Ellori is not. Ellori has tuned out and that’s not Steph at all. That’s not Steph, it’s Ellori.

Belroth 38:35
H A D U P.

Anthony 38:39
Two O Mikey. Two O’s.

Belroth 38:44
I think yeah. What what we want to bring forth is that we are we are actively making progress on this. I almost said during the sprint, but I did, that would have been Rob.

Deeran 38:57
Yeah, what I like if we had like two weeks, you know what it means to like, go out, like, knock out the most important thing in this and then like, come back two weeks later and talk about it again. You know what I mean?

Belroth 39:10
Is, is there any information that is you, or any questions you hope we could answer? I guess, that could make your resources better to focus, especially if we are really really stretched thin. Like we might have some information we can give you so that you can focus things better, because that’s what we want to be we want to be we want to actually solve this problem as best we can. And we know we can’t do it just this small team.

Deeran 39:37
Yeah, that’s a really great point.

Anthony 39:39
Well, one thing.

Deeran 39:39
Belroth like we we told you what we learned, like what are you lacking, you know, what are you longing for?

Belroth 39:47
Oh, God.

Deeran 39:48
What did you like?

Anthony 39:49
I think demons ideally? One thing that would be helpful to know is where all this Spell Stone you requisitioned went to?

Deeran 39:57
What?

Skarpin 39:58
What?

Anthony 39:59
Well we acquired a bunch of Spell Stone for you when it was very, very expensive to come by. And of course the price has dropped now. Of course. but we acquired it as part of the requisition for this it was requested and now I have no I have no idea what it went for.

Ellori 40:17
Oh.

Skarpin 40:18
Yeah, we could tell you that.

Deeran 40:19
Wait, hold on. Hold on. What? When was the last time we were here?

Anthony 40:26
No no.

Ellori 40:27
Ellori looks at Skarpin and says here in New Meritta we send message we send message and she points at him. She says you know when we got all the spells stone to go back in time. To go back to go back in time to go back in time to fix them. You know, to fix that. To see the Demon Stone broken.

Skarpin 40:54
God’s Eye.

Ellori 40:55
She said that.

Deeran 40:57
She said that to Skarpin.

Ellori 40:59
Did I say Skarpin?

Deeran 41:00
Yes.

Ellori 41:01
I’m sorry. I meant Deeran. Obviously, I met Deeran.

Deeran 41:04
I mean it wasn’t obvious. If it was obvious I would have responded.

Ellori 41:10
That’s why.

Belroth 41:11
I also thought you meant Deeran.

Ellori 41:13
That’s why I kept talking because I just assumed. I am sick and I met Deeran. I was like watching you. I thought you were frozen but your real life in front of me.

Deeran 41:24
Also frozen.

Ellori 41:26
And I was like

Anthony 41:27
My favorite part about it is that Skarpin’s response was just the single word telling you the name of the object.

Skarpin 41:37
I feel like this went well.

Deeran 41:40
Then back in message Deeran says.

Anthony 41:44
I have five different requests here from you for Spell Stone. Totalling well over one hundred and fifty thousand Spell Stone.

Deeran 41:56
That wasn’t, what?

Anthony 41:58
All requested in your name, all commissioned to Wesley Tallow.

Skarpin 42:04
Yeah, I think so. Archimedes?

Deeran 42:09
No. So that’s the thing, man that happened a long time ago, like, and he said it happened after we got, after we left. So like, that’s not that time. Okay. Okay. Here’s the deal, man. Like, we had to get a whole bunch of spell stone for Archimedes, right? Because he wanted to do this thing where he used like Skarpin said just a minute ago, the God’s Eye which apparently sent us back in time to learn more about the demon threat.

Ellori 42:42
Oh, wait, you wouldn’t even give that to us. We didn’t even get that from you.

Deeran 42:45
That’s what I’m saying.

Belroth 42:45
That’s why this is confusing to us.

Deeran 42:47
That’s why it wasn’t that. That’s why I don’t know what this is for.

Anthony 42:54
I don’t know what it’s for either. That’s what I’m asking. I got the initial request from you guys. That was a different time, things obviously started to coalesce in the Demon Isles. It got worse, we began to approve the requests that we were getting from you for additional resources. And I’m asking where those resources went?

Ellori 43:11
It sounds like we need to go talk to Wesley.

Deeran 43:14
Yeah, we definitely aren’t using, well, we aren’t. We don’t know if we’re using one hundred and fifty thousand Spell Stone. There. Deeran like starts to like, get a little dizzy knowing how expensive that must have been. I don’t even know if my dad could buy that. Like, and he like, do you think it costs that much to get to the Crystal Wastes?

Belroth 43:47
Is that where it’s going? To the Crystal Wastes.

Deeran 43:50
Oh yeah, like, the requisition.

Anthony 43:52
I should hope not, it comes from the crystal waste if we spent one hundred and fifty thousand Spell Stone to dump Spell Stone in the Crystal Wastes I’m gonna be very upset.

Belroth 43:58
Oh, well, that’s why I asked because I wasn’t sure where to location of it was going.

Deeran 44:03
Yeah, where? Where did it say it was going? Like on the.

Anthony 44:07
It’s, it’s been picked up in five different locations across the Empire. I’ve got one in Eviara, I’ve got one in, in Varina, I’ve got one in Mugmahar right here at the Brass Palace. Looks like one out at the Basilica. This one is also in Eviara but in a different part.

Skarpin 44:31
We could ask Wesley.

Ellori 44:33
Sounds like we need to.

Anthony 44:36
Great, if you see him let me know.

Deeran 44:38
Yup.

Skarpin 44:38
Okay.

Anthony 44:39
I haven’t even seen him since Elder Riggs passed.

Ellori 44:45
Do you think he murdered Elder Riggs?

Deeran 44:50
What?

Anthony 44:50
I think Wesley is capable of anything and I think Wesley has his own agenda but I don’t believe murdering the elder was on it.

Ellori 44:57
Okay.

Deeran 44:58
Yeah, we.

Anthony 44:59
Elder Riggs was. At one point, Elder Riggs was a fine man who did a lot of good. Elder Riggs was well past his prime, his position here was more or less ceremonial. And I don’t think that there was really any reason for anyone to try and take any malice out upon him.

Deeran 45:24
All right. It’s just tough for us, because like he was the, he was the only Elder who, like, believed that something was going on when we first brought it like in a in a supportive way. You know, like, yeah, like, he, it felt like he trusted us or whatever. And so for us, it’s really hard personally, you know.

Anthony 45:47
You’re new to this.

Deeran 45:48
Yeah.

Anthony 45:49
And so I’m going to say this as gently as I can. I’m not going to hold your hand on this, I don’t care how you feel. I have a lot going on and I need you to do your job and I will do mine. My mentor always used to say, a job, if a job is worth doing, you will pour everything into it. As he says that Deeran, you have a flash in your mind, because you’ve heard that a hundred times, a thousand times growing up over and over again, from your father. About pretty much everything.

Deeran 46:25
Sure.

Anthony 46:26
And so, while I am focusing on this, I need you doing the job you need to be doing because I’ve got too much to worry about to babysit you while you go out and do deal with this problem. That’s why you’re being paid.

Belroth 46:41
We, yes. And we will now handle this other Spell Stone mystery because we actually, we we need to figure that out too. To take something out of your hair.

Deeran 46:56
Yeah, it would really suck if Wesley was like, using her name to do stuff that wasn’t for us, you know?

Ellori 47:04
Yeah.

Anthony 47:05
Well, it wouldn’t be the first time. Maybe not for you. But in general,

Deeran 47:08
I was gonna say, yeah.

Anthony 47:09
Wesley does what he wishes when he wishes and he finds whatever loopholes he can find to make it happen. The only advantage we’ve ever had is that most of the time what Wesley wants happens to be helpful.

Ellori 47:25
All right. Okay, well, I guess we’ll leave you back to your very busy schedule now.

Anthony 47:30
I have something for you, someone I need to get you in contact with. She’s been reporting that she has some leads. And I think she’s here in the tower still. Head to the barracks. See if you can find he looks through some papers. He’s like, yes. Amelia Moonwake. If you can find Amelia, then that will help you. She has some information that is supposedly supposed to be important.

Belroth 47:58
I’m sorry. Bel-, Belroth is like borderline spit take. What was? What was the name? What was the name? Excuse me?

Anthony 48:08
Moon wake? Well, maybe it’s Moon-wa-kah? I’ve never met her.

Belroth 48:12
I don’t think it’s, that’s nobody’s name.

Ellori 48:18
Somewhere in Eviara, Moon-wa-kah feels sad for a reason.

Anthony 48:22
Moon wacky?

Belroth 48:27
Moon wacky.

Deeran 48:30
I’m Moon Wacky.

Ellori 48:32
It’s just a kind name for a werewolf. Oh yeah, you know I’m just a little moon wacky.

Deeran 48:37
I’m just a little moon wacky. It’s what people say about me.

Anthony 48:41
You know how I get around full moons, a little moon wacky.

Deeran 48:46
We just lost six subscribers last name Moon-Wa-Cah. Fuck you, I’m real.

Skarpin 48:54
Real.

Anthony 48:57
Look if you’re if you’re real and you’re mad about it, just @Rob Okay.

Belroth 49:00
Yeah, no, I deserve it. Finally, I deserve it. Okay. You said in the barracks?

Anthony 49:14
Yes.

Deeran 49:14
Oh, I almost forgot speaking to the barracks. Would it be weird if we bury this in there?

Anthony 49:23
Yes. It is very strange.

Deeran 49:27
So Okay. Is there a safer place and he opens the chest?

Anthony 49:36
Yes, you can take it to the vault in the basement.

Skarpin 49:39
Belroth has to move his sandwich aside.

Deeran 49:41
Yeah.

Belroth 49:42
Oh!

Deeran 49:42
Derran slides the sandwich out of the way. Sorry. Maybe now you can see better.

Anthony 49:48
Yes, very nice. Your treasure looks great.

Skarpin 49:52
Thanks.

Anthony 49:52
You may take it and lock it in the vault.

Belroth 49:58
We really.

Anthony 50:01
If there’s nothing else, I do have a lot of other things I need to be dealing with.

Belroth 50:05
We really appreciate it.

Anthony 50:06
I’m not getting any help from Willowheart so you know I might as well I gotta get into this.

Deeran 50:10
I mean he might help you with like you know that anxiety, like the that energy thing you know what I mean?

Anthony 50:16
I would really prefer helping literally anything else will be valuable.

Deeran 50:23
You remind me of somebody I can’t put my finger on it but Deeran like tilts the desk again to get it back out the door.

Belroth 50:35
As we’re going out thank you, Carapath, we really appreciate this.

Anthony 50:40
Don’t thank me, solve the problem, and get out of my office.

Belroth 50:44
Sure.

Deeran 50:45
That triggers another brutal memory.

Skarpin 50:53
Thank you boss.

Anthony 50:57
Okay. Vella, arms crossed as you leave the office.

Deeran 51:03
Sorry.

Anthony 51:05
She’s like 20 minutes. Okay.

Belroth 51:07
That, Vella, you stuck your neck out for us. Thank you.

Anthony 51:13
Okay.

Belroth 51:15
You didn’t have to.

Anthony 51:15
She just goes back to like, she is writing another thing and like calling for people to come and send messages for her. As you guys walk away.

Ellori 51:25
Hey, Belroth. Wasn’t Amelia the name of your partner?

Belroth 51:28
Belroth is like borderline hyperventilating. He’s just like, not looking good at the moment. Uh huh.

Deeran 51:42
Deeran has eaten the second half of Belroth’s sandwich.

Belroth 51:45
I’m not hungry anymore. It’s fine.

Deeran 51:46
Nervously and sadly.

Belroth 51:48
It’s okay. You can have it. I’m really genuinely not hungry anymore.

Deeran 51:52
What? Deeran looks up and then he looks down at his hands and he sees the wrapper and he’s Oh man. I’m sorry.

Belroth 51:59
Oh my god. She’s not dead.

Ellori 52:02
Who’s not dead?

Belroth 52:03
Amelia. I just assumed she was dead.

Deeran 52:08
Wait. Oh. Your Amelia and the one at the barracks, they’re the same?

Belroth 52:18
I mean, I assume.

Deeran 52:20
Why are we standing in the hallway? Let’s go man.

Belroth 52:23
What do I say to her? What what do I say to her? I don’t.

Deeran 52:25
Hello?

Belroth 52:26
What do you mean? Hello?

Deeran 52:28
Well, I mean, it starts like that’s how you greet people. Right?

Ellori 52:31
Yeah, you say, Amelia. I can’t believe I get to see you again. That’s a.

Deeran 52:36
Oh my God, you’re alive.

Ellori 52:37
That’s an alternative to hello. I thought you were dead. So I’ve been killing demons.

Skarpin 52:42
Hey.

Deeran 52:42
Also, if she’s your partner, like maybe like, oh my god, I love you so much. I missed you. I thought about you every day and I can’t.

Ellori 52:49
Oh that’s right!

Deeran 52:50
And yeah, like, you know.

Skarpin 52:52
Don’t tell a story.

Deeran 52:54
Yeah, and definitely don’t bring up science.

Belroth 52:57
She likes, well, don’t worry. Listen, I’m nervous because I thought she was gone for like the better part of a year and a half. I thought she was missing.

Deeran 53:12
So tell her all that.

Ellori 53:13
Yeah.

Deeran 53:13
And like all the stuff that you did to try and find her and like you wrote to her every day and like you searched high and low and here you are and.

Belroth 53:20
What if what if she was not trying to be found?

Deeran 53:23
Well that would.

Skarpin 53:24
That’s okay.

Ellori 53:24
Well, then she I feel like she would maybe still, if she didn’t give you a reason she would appreciate you listing all the things you did to try and find her.

Deeran 53:32
Yeah, cause then you can tell her like hey, like if you didn’t want me to find you.

Ellori 53:37
Good job. You did it because I didn’t.

Skarpin 53:41
You’re so good at that.

Deeran 53:43
That’s another thing I love about you is how good you are at hiding.

Ellori 53:46
Yeah, you’re so good. It’s not being found that even I couldn’t find her.

Deeran 53:51
Even though I tried my hardest forever. I love you so much. Let’s never be apart again.

Skarpin 53:56
This is gonna go well.

Ellori 53:57
Do you want us to pretend that instead of killing demons, we were looking for her?

Belroth 54:01
No, no. No, I was looking for her. I sent out people to look for her. And I was hoping to find her with adventuring and then this came up. And I’m just very I’m just very nervous.

Skarpin 54:18
I’m excited for you, Belroth.

Ellori 54:20
Me to! This is amazing news that she’s not dead.

Deeran 54:24
Belroth your face makes it look like you don’t want us there.

Belroth 54:27
No.

Deeran 54:27
Do you want us to go to the vault with this new points behind him to the disk with a crate on it. Because like we could do that and then you could have your moment and then we could show up later to be like Oh Belroth we’re your friends? Who is this?

Belroth 54:43
I think that’s a great idea. You know, I hate the sound of it, but we should absolutely do it because otherwise I will be chickenshit about this. So.

Deeran 54:54
Does that work for you guys? Do you want to go?

Ellori 54:56
That’s fine. I honestly I want to watch Belroth reunite with a love of his life, but I want to I want if that’s going to make him nervous, I won’t do that.

Belroth 55:04
Well no, I was like, I want you to be there. But I’m also like, I feel like you shouldn’t. I don’t know. I don’t know what I’m feeling.

Deeran 55:11
She can sing some really good love songs.

Ellori 55:13
Oh, yeah. How’s this one? My grandma always used to sing it to me. ~I love you more than I love sheep. Sheep are the best things to talk to the sound but you are better.~

Belroth 55:25
I doubt. Okay.

Deeran 55:27
That’s a pretty good one.

Skarpin 55:28
Would she like that?

Belroth 55:29
I don’t. I mean she likes songs.

Deeran 55:30
Yeah, what’s her stance on sheep?

Belroth 55:32
I don’t think I’ve asked her.

Ellori 55:33
Oh yeah, if she doesn’t like sheep that it might not be a compliment.

Deeran 55:36
Oh, yeah. Good call.

Skarpin 55:37
You could change sheep to something else, maybe.

Ellori 55:38
What’s her favorite thing?

Belroth 55:41
Well, books?

Ellori 55:41
What’s your favorite thing?

Belroth 55:43
Oh.

Deeran 55:43
Her.

Belroth 55:43
Monsters, and.

Deeran 55:44
Look at his face. Look at his face. It’s clearly her.

Belroth 55:47
No.

Ellori 55:47
You can’t sing I love you more than I love you.

Skarpin 55:50
Well, you’re right. You’re so much better at song writing than us.

Deeran 55:56
Oh, yeah. Me and Skarpin suck at this.

Belroth 56:01
That really got me. Okay.

Ellori 56:08
This is my moment.

Belroth 56:12
Okay, I will. Okay. Yes,

Skarpin 56:17
You got this Belroth.

Deeran 56:18
Yeah, man. This is gonna be awesome.

Belroth 56:20
I don’t.

Skarpin 56:20
Wait. She’s not gonna kill you. Is she?

Deeran 56:23
Oh, yeah.

Belroth 56:24
I mean, no.

Skarpin 56:27
Okay.

Deeran 56:28
Okay.

Skarpin 56:28
I figure we’d check.

Deeran 56:29
Yeah, that’s a good question. Skarpin may never know.

Belroth 56:31
Do you think she’d kill me? What if she does try to kill me? Oh my god. Now I’m I didn’t need that anxiety.

Skarpin 56:37
Is it a possibility?

Why did you bring that up?

Deeran 56:38
Belroth, is it a possibility? Did you have a fight the last time that you saw like a physical one?

Skarpin 56:42
And she says next time I see you, I’ll kill you.

Deeran 56:44
I’ll kill you.

Belroth 56:45
Not a physical fight. I we I mean, we didn’t have like a lot of fights. It was just.

Skarpin 56:52
That one?

Belroth 56:52
No, it wasn’t like even a fight. It was just sort of it would just things felt different.

Ellori 57:00
Oh.

Skarpin 57:01
It doesn’t sound violent Deeran.

Deeran 57:03
Well.

Ellori 57:04
No, but sometimes when someone’s planning to murder you they act different around ya.

Belroth 57:10
Ellori, I love you dearly but please stop.

Ellori 57:14
More than sheep?

Deeran 57:17
I feel like putting a woman’s name in the song is really not good, right? Like I love you more than I love Ellori? But you know, what, you’re the expert at the songs Ellori? Like I suck and I’m so like, maybe you’re right.

Skarpin 57:37
I think we’re about to be compared to each other, right.

Deeran 57:42
Like, just know that like, I would be really sad if you did that. Like in a song. Like for me, you know what I mean? Like if I were her. Deeran feels like he totally got away with it and moves on.

Belroth 58:00
Belroth noticed. All right, well, go lock things in the vault. I will

Deeran 58:11
Yeah, go unlock that vault, Belroth. Let’s go and Deeran puts a high five hand up.

Belroth 58:16
Belroth does not.

Skarpin 58:19
Deeran, he’s not coming with us. He’s going to see Amelia.

Deeran 58:23
Oh, Skarpin I meant like you know, the vault of your heart. Like, I’m just trying to.

Belroth 58:27
Oh, I thought I thought you were being filthy.

Ellori 58:30
Ellori takes a.

Skarpin 58:30
Oh a metaphor.

Belroth 58:30
You’re being sweet.

Deeran 58:32
Yeah. Oh.

Skarpin 58:34
Were you?

Deeran 58:36
I mean, it’s a cool double entendre now that you’ve said it like.

Belroth 58:39
It’s like a triple entendre.

Deeran 58:41
I see where you’re coming from.

Skarpin 58:42
Ellori would that work in a song?

Ellori 58:42
Yes.

Belroth 58:43
I really shouldn’t be this high right now, this is horrible.

Ellori 58:48
Ellori takes a flower out of somewhere on her person. And hands it to Belroth.

Belroth 58:56
What?

Ellori 58:56
I mean, you know, just like she’s got flowers all over the place.

Anthony 59:00
Abdomen, abdomen,

Ellori 59:02
Yeah, out of her abdomen.

Anthony 59:04
Spleen.

Belroth 59:05
Out of her bicep.

Ellori 59:05
Flower out of her. Yep. Thank you. And you know, my grandma always says never meet someone that you used to love and maybe still definitely still love but you’re unsure how they feel about you because they were missing for two years without a flower.

Belroth 59:20
That’s very specific. But thank you.

Ellori 59:22
My grandma has a lot to say about a lot of specific topics.

Belroth 59:26
I like that about your grandmother. I hope she’s doing okay.

Ellori 59:29
Me too.

Skarpin 59:32
Belroth, you better take two. Here’s here’s here’s one.

Belroth 59:34
Oh, okay.

Skarpin 59:35
Hands him a yellow flower.

Ellori 59:37
Okay, bye.

Belroth 59:38
All right.

Deeran 59:39
Take Freya. And Deeran throws you a Freya snack?

Skarpin 59:44
There was Freya.

Belroth 59:44
Why do you, I have Freya snacks. I already have. Wait, where did my, how did you.

Deeran 59:50
Sorry, man.

Belroth 59:52
All right. Come on girl. And then Belroth leaves with a like I assume the one Ellori gave Belroth is like sort of like this thin tender flower like with a little bit of a stem and the one like Skarpin gave is just like sort of like huge kind of like hulking beast.

It’s just kind of like already wilting and like kind of flopping everywhere.

Deeran 1:00:17
Also has teeth.

Belroth 1:00:18
Yeah. Okay. Belroth looks at Skar- Belroth looks at Freya sort of like uncertain and keeps going forward.

Anthony 1:00:34
Okay, you head down to the barracks and you find the there’s like a ledger there that has everybody’s information in it and you’re able to find where she is. Which is in a room down the hall and like up a floor or whatever, like in the barracks area. A long enough walk that you have time to think as you walk from this ledger to the room.

Belroth 1:00:59
Not good. He doesn’t want time to think, because now he’s spiraling. It’s too long of a time to walk. Which is any amount of time.

Anthony 1:01:10
Okay, you know where the door is. I’m gonna let you decide what you do.

Belroth 1:01:13
Is it closed?

Anthony 1:01:15
Yes.

Belroth 1:01:17
He kinda like puts it out. He puts down Skarpin’s like Monster flower. And then like knocks on the door.

Anthony 1:01:27
You hear a voice come from inside that says one minute and it’s definitely Amelia’s voice, you can tell by the cadence by the sound. And then the door opens and you see Amelia, the Elven woman standing in front of you. She’s in her adventuring gear, her leather armor. She has her hand on her dagger hilt as she opens the door and she says, Oh, Belroth.
